State Innovation Video 2022: Oklahoma Lead Testing in Schools and Child-Care Facilities
Oklahoma collected 826 samples to test water for lead in schools and child care facilities. Results indicated that in 69.9% of samples, no lead was detected. DEQ replaced five water fountains and two faucets, helping over 550 students. Since the program’s launch, 45 public schools have signed up for this testing.
